My Little Monster Synopsis

My Little Monster is a 2012 anime series based on the manga of the same name by Robico. The series follows the story of Shizuku Mizutani, a studious high school student who is completely uninterested in socializing.

One day, she is forced to partner up with Haru Yoshida, a mysterious transfer student who is known for his violent behavior. Despite their differences, Shizuku and Haru slowly start to become friends, and they learn to help each other overcome their personal challenges.

Shizuku is a highly organized and efficient girl who is only interested in studying and achieving her goals. She has no time for friends or relationships, and she doesn’t understand why people would want to waste time on such things.

Haru, on the other hand, is a free-spirited and impulsive boy who doesn’t understand social norms. He is often misunderstood and feared by others, but he is also kind and compassionate.

As Shizuku and Haru spend more time together, they start to learn more about each other and themselves. Shizuku begins to understand the importance of friendship and relationships, and Haru starts to learn how to control his temper and open up to others. Together, they learn to overcome their personal challenges and become better people.

My Little Monster is a heartwarming and funny story about the power of friendship and acceptance. The characters are well-developed and relatable, and the story is full of unexpected twists and turns. If you’re looking for a heartwarming and funny anime to watch, then I highly recommend My Little Monster.

3. Unique premise.

The premise of My Little Monster is unique and refreshing. It’s not often that you see a story about two characters who are so different from each other coming together and forming a friendship. The relationship between Shizuku and Haru is one of the most compelling aspects of the show.

4. Beautiful animation.

The animation in My Little Monster is beautiful and expressive. The characters are all drawn with a lot of detail, and the backgrounds are lush and vibrant. The animation really brings the story to life.

5. The characters’ growth and development.

As the story progresses, we see the characters grow and change. Shizuku becomes more outgoing and social, while Haru learns to control his temper and open up to others. This character development is one of the most satisfying aspects of the show.

Everything that sucks about My Little Monster

As we mentioned earlier, we had some beef with my little monster and here they are, to mention a few:

1. The pacing is slow.

The anime adaptation of My Little Monster is a bit slow-paced, which can be a turn-off for some viewers. The story takes its time to develop, and there are some episodes that feel like they could have been condensed.

2. The ending is inconclusive.

The anime adaptation of My Little Monster ends on a cliffhanger, which left some viewers feeling unsatisfied. There is no clear resolution to the main relationship, and it is unclear whether or not Haru and Shizuku will end up together.

3. The characters are not always likable.

Some of the characters in My Little Monster can be quite unlikeable, especially Haru. He is often impulsive and reckless, and he can be quite mean to other people. This can make it difficult for some viewers to connect with him.

4. The anime does not explore some of the darker themes in the manga.

The manga of My Little Monster deals with some darker themes, such as child abuse and neglect. However, the anime adaptation does not explore these themes in as much depth. This can be disappointing for some viewers who were hoping for a more serious and mature story.

Conclusion

Overall, My Little Monster is a well-made anime with some strong points. However, it is not without its flaws. The pacing is slow, the ending is inconclusive, and some of the characters are not always likable. Additionally, the anime does not explore some of the darker themes in the manga in as much depth.

Despite these flaws, My Little Monster is still a heartwarming and funny story about the power of friendship and acceptance. If you are looking for an anime that will make you laugh and cry, then I would recommend giving My Little Monster a try.
